Thanksgiving 2012

I know, it's pathetic. I'm blogging about Thanksgiving 2012 at the end of February 2013. But there were too many fun memories to not give it a blog post.

We headed to Owensboro this year for Thanksgiving. It was Caiden's first airplane ride and visit to Kentucky. He did great on both the flights. Isn't it so sad that his mother made him ride in a hot pink stroller.

Adelyn and Caroline had a lot of fun playing together. They had the most fun teasing Uncle Chris by hiding in his bed and giggling until he came to find them.

Since these pictures were taken Caroline has become a big sister. Do you think she was worried that her baby brother would be as silly as Adelyn's?

Speaking of our baby brother, he was quite the early riser on this trip. On Thanksgiving morning he woke up at 4 am, took a scenic drive around Owensboro, wished everyone in the drive thru at Dunkin' Donuts a "Happy Thanksgiving" and delivered breakfast to everyone at the house who didn't wake up at 4. Isn't he so thoughtful....

Caiden and his great, great Uncle Sam

And here's Caiden with Uncle Ryan. These are 2 peas in a pod I tell you. Let's all take a moment to pray for their mothers...;)

The Circus

On Friday we carried on the Lilly family tradition of attending the Circus. It's up for debate as to who was more excited, Adelyn or Grandpa.

3 generations of Lilly circus attendees

Kelly the elephant took us for a ride before the show and it was pretty great!

This is the quintessential circus picture...Mimi & Grandpa, a glow stick, and balloon animal. All that's missing is a clown!

And ever since then Adelyn has been "wowing" me with her "circus performs" on the monkey bars. If she pursues a career as a circus performer I'm holding you personally responsible Grandpa!

We had a great Thanksgiving and can't wait to go to the circus again. Next time the lion tamer will be with us! ;)
