"Houston, we have a problem"

This afternoon, Adelyn & I went out to watch the shuttle launch. Unfortunately, all we could see were the clouds blocking our view. That, however, is minor in comparison to the real problem we've been having with a certain someone who hasn't been taking her nap.

"Who me?"

For the past two weeks she's been doing headstands and jumping in her bed at naptime instead of sleeping.
She thinks she's Curious George the monkey.

I wish someone would tell her that even monkeys need naps.

Baby Addison - updated

Please pray for our friends Carrie, Aron, and their daughter Addison. As of right now she is scheduled to have a liver transplant on Wednesday morning at 4 am. The surgery will last somewhere from 12 - 20 hours. Carrie & I have been friends since I was in middle school and I can not tell you how heavily their story has weighed on my heart. Also, please do not forget to pray for the donor's family. I can not even begin to imagine the heartache they are experiencing. Thanks for your prayers!

Update...

I just wanted to let you know that Addison is out of surgery and back in her room resting. The surgery lasted a little over 12 hours and the doctors felt that it went really well. They were not able to close her incision all the way due to swelling but said that is not uncommon and will try again on Friday. Thank you so much for praying with me for this family!! Please continue to remember them as Carrie and Addison will remain in Miami for at least 6 weeks while she recovers and Aron and their big kids will be back and forth between home, school, work, and Miami.

In that day they will say, "Surely this is our God; we trusted in him and he saved us. This is the Lord, we trusted in him; let us rejoice and be glad in his salvation." Isaiah 25: 9

"The Thai Restaurant"

This video is from a couple months ago. I meant to post it then but never did and forgot all about it until the other night. It still makes us laugh so I thought better late than never. By the way, we did tell Adelyn multiple times we were eating at the mexican restaurant. She just must have been craving thai food that day.

You may have noticed that we were the only customers there at 12 pm on a Saturday. Needless to say, we haven't been back and will probably not take anymore recommendations from the person who told us they just love it. We do however, have a great recommendation for an actual Thai Restaurant. ;)

Happy Valentine's Day

Well, The Wedding is all over and was a huge success. Corrie is a bachelorette no more and Adelyn was the cutest flower girl ever! She did a great job walking down the aisle and while I'd love to show you pictures, I sadly did not take a single picture the day of the wedding. I promise to post some later though. Maybe once Corrie gets them from the photographer. In the meantime, today is Valentine's Day and while Matt & I have never really done much to celebrate, Adelyn & I made cookies!

While eating her cookie, Adelyn said "you a good cooker, mommy." Isn't she sweet!

Tonight Matt came home with a princess balloon for Adelyn and a big box of Ferrero Rocher for me. He's so sweet too!

Flower Girl Rehearsal

Aunt Corrie's wedding is less than a week away and while Adelyn is very excited about her "walk down da aisle with Wouis" we realized that the actual concept of dropping flowers is lost on her. So, we practiced...
