The Lilly Pad

Adelyn says the cutest things! Whenever something is new she'll ask "dat is?" When she counts she'll either say "free, two, free" or "eight, nine, TEN!" She also really likes to stick "baby" on the end of stuff. So we hear a lot of "h old you, baby" and "h elp you, baby". The funniest thing lately though is that she has given herself a new nickname - Baby Sugar. How does she use that in a sentence you ask? Well, it's really just a shameless ploy to get out of trouble. Right before we're about to spank her she'll cry out... "Baby Sugar, Baby Sugar!" As if to say "mommy, how could you even think of spanking your sweet little Baby Sugar!?" It's hard Baby Sugar, really hard.

We've had a great Father's Day weekend and hope you have too! Yesterday we went to Sea World with Dan & Brody. We had lots of fun seeing the flamingos, stingrays, penguins, and sharks. The dolphins and sea lions really seemed to enjoy all the fish we fed them and we even managed to not die from a heat stroke or get sunburned. "Hey look, Mom! I'm in a fish tank!" Today, Adelyn enjoyed celebrating Father's Day with her daddy. Since "Happy Father's Day" is quite the mouth full I tried to teach her to say "Happy Daddy Day". It mostly just came out as "happy daddy!" Happy Father's Day to all the wonderful & loving fathers in our lives. Our family is blessed because of you!

It's been awhile since you've heard from us - we've been keeping it pretty low key... ...just doing every day stuff like hiding in the pillows, doing our best Stevie Wonder impersonation, playing with sock puppets, and our very favorite - accessorizing! Tomorrow, we're headed to Sea World. Hope you have a great weekend!

is what happens when someone... A. has a problem with food. Specifically chocolate. B. denies her cravings for 3 solid weeks. C. takes away her toddler's pacifier and 3 days in cannot remember what on earth she was thinking!

"Hi!" ' "Doooin'?" "I'm taking pictures of Adelyn. What are you doing?" "Oh, just dancin', swingin', and blowin' bubbles!" We are so thankful for the men and women who have served our country so that we can do lots of dancing, swinging and bubble blowing at our house! Hope you enjoy the long weekend!

This past weekend we went to Lexington to meet Miss Caroline. Adelyn made a really good first impression... "Aaaahh! Adelyn, please don't sit on me!!!" The Daddies and their Girls Mimi got the girls matching dresses to have their picture taken in. Chris said "she's finally getting her chance after raising three boys." This one made me laugh because they have the same facial expression. The Lilly Family We had a lot of fun visiting with Caroline and can't wait to see her again soon or as Adelyn would say... "yater!"
