Well, I know I say it every time, but I can not believe how quickly Adelyn is growing & changing! She is 51/2 months old and I feel like there are days when she changes between naps. One of the sweetest things she does now is give kisses. They're a little wet but I love them! It's not too exciting but a typical day for us looks a little like this...
Sleeping. Adelyn is doing a great job of sleeping through the night again & I am so glad. We had about a month where she digressed and was getting up once a night to eat. For some reason those weeks were harder for me than when she was first born. I need sleep! She's also making the transition into being awake for longer between naps and then sleeping longer during naps. This morning she slept for 2 1/2 hrs. I don't know why but for some reason that morning nap is the most important of all.
Eating. Cereal is a new development. We're on the 4th day & Adelyn still doesn't get that you open your mouth & the spoon goes in. She's not really a fan of it but doesn't cry in protest or clamp her jaw shut either. So we'll keep trying.
Playing. Adelyn is so good at rolling & tummy time now. She is also obsessed with feet. Hers, mine, yours, it doesn't matter. All I have to do is wiggle my toes and she laughs. She loves to go for walks and has taken a sudden interest in other people. While David & Elaine were here we went to Downtown Disney one afternoon. Adelyn squealed in delight at getting to see so many people. She also squealed in delight as we walked into Bloomingdale's the other day. I was so proud. ; )
On August 2nd the Buddy Boy turned 2! He was and still is so incredibly proud of himself over this achievement. Caiden is the most perfect combination of all boy and sweet and snuggly toddler that there ever could be! He loves trucks and balls, throws caution to the wind, and has a stubborn streak that isn't going anywhere. He adores his daddy more than I can explain, loves to get kisses from mommy and wants to do everything his big sister does. We never knew how much we needed this little boy until he arrived and we are so humbled and blessed because we were chosen to be his mommy and daddy. How can we thank God enough for you in return for all the joy we have in the presence of our God because of you? 1 Thessalonians 3:9
