Confessions of a Guilt Stricken Mommy...

Today, I feel like the worst mother in the world...

It all started when I realized that I did not feed Adelyn any fruit today. Well, that's not entirely true. She did mash a mandarin orange segment into tiny bits at breakfast and inhaled 12 craisins without chewing before we rushed out the door at 5pm to go buy something to cook for dinner.

Then there was the matter of lunch. I fed her chicken nuggets and french fries from Chick-fil-A while driving. "The family that eats together stays together..." Riiight.

The real kicker though was when Adelyn fell out of the shopping cart at Bed, Bath, & Beyond. I have to admit, I don't hold myself entirely responsible. After all, that european pillow sham did give her just the boost she needed to hoist her leg over the edge and make her descent to the poorly carpeted concrete floor below. However, they don't exactly hand out "Mommy of the Year" Awards to mothers of children who scream bloody murder, cry inconsolably, and have huge red welts on their heads now do they!

Oh I have felt the same way with Addison. I was sitting on the couch last night thinking Addison had no fruit or vegetables today!She had eggs foer breakfast and we too fed her Chick-Fil-A for lunch. So no worries! You are not alone.:) Adelyn is so beautiful! She looks so much like both of you!

Two!

On August 2nd the Buddy Boy turned 2! He was and still is so incredibly proud of himself over this achievement. Caiden is the most perfect combination of all boy and sweet and snuggly toddler that there ever could be! He loves trucks and balls, throws caution to the wind, and has a stubborn streak that isn't going anywhere. He adores his daddy more than I can explain, loves to get kisses from mommy and wants to do everything his big sister does. We never knew how much we needed this little boy until he arrived and we are so humbled and blessed because we were chosen to be his mommy and daddy. 10 years

Today Matt & I are celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary! Part of me can hardly believe that it's already been 10 years. I can still remember so many details of that time in our lives. The joy and excitement of the wedding and anticipation for the future. And another part of me knows that 10 years is not that long at all. We've only just begun! We did not get any digital images from our wedding photographer (it was a different time back in 2003) but a friend took these and gave them to me. One of my favorite parts of our ceremony was that we signed a covenant. Matt & I signed first and then both of our family's came up and signed. It was a really special part of our ceremony. Thanksgiving 2012

I know, it's pathetic. I'm blogging about Thanksgiving 2012 at the end of February 2013. But there were too many fun memories to not give it a blog post. We headed to Owensboro this year for Thanksgiving. It was Caiden's first airplane ride and visit to Kentucky. He did great on both the flights. Isn't it so sad that his mother made him ride in a hot pink stroller. Adelyn and Caroline had a lot of fun playing together. They had the most fun teasing Uncle Chris by hiding in his bed and giggling until he came to find them. Since these pictures were taken Caroline has become a big sister.
