Disaster Averted!

If you've read our blog before you've probably noticed that Bunny pops up every once in awhile. He is Adelyn's "lovey" if you will and goes everywhere she goes. Last night we were at church and when I picked her up from the nursery I did the usual diaper bag check to make sure that Bunny & the paci were present. I could tell Bunny wasn't in there but I could also tell that no one had opened the bag since I dropped her off so I thought he must be in the car. Much to our chagrin, Bunny was MIA in the car as well. After going back inside to check once more with the ladies in the nursery we headed home Bunny less, desperately hoping he was there. I tried to ask Adelyn what she knew about Bunny's whereabouts. This is what she had to say...

M: "Adelyn, where do you think Bunny could be?"

A: "Dirt, dirty"

M: "Bunny's in the dirt?"

A: "Yeah. Bushes."

M: "Oh no! How did Bunny get in the bushes?"

A: "Frew'im"

M: "Adelyn, why did you throw Bunny in the bushes?"

A: "Get'im"

Thankfully we found Bunny at home reading the book about the "Do" (Rooster) as soon as we walked in the door! As for the bunny that Adelyn "frew" in the bushes, I'm not sure who he belongs to. I'm just glad I'm not the one traipsing through the bushes trying to find him!

Two!

On August 2nd the Buddy Boy turned 2! He was and still is so incredibly proud of himself over this achievement. Caiden is the most perfect combination of all boy and sweet and snuggly toddler that there ever could be! He loves trucks and balls, throws caution to the wind, and has a stubborn streak that isn't going anywhere. He adores his daddy more than I can explain, loves to get kisses from mommy and wants to do everything his big sister does. We never knew how much we needed this little boy until he arrived and we are so humbled and blessed because we were chosen to be his mommy and daddy. How can we thank God enough for you in return for all the joy we have in the presence of our God because of you? 1 Thessalonians 3:9

10 years

Today Matt & I are celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary! Part of me can hardly believe that it's already been 10 years. I can still remember so many details of that time in our lives. The joy and excitement of the wedding and anticipation for the future. And another part of me knows that 10 years is not that long at all. We've only just begun! We did not get any digital images from our wedding photographer (it was a different time back in 2003) but a friend took these and gave them to me. One of my favorite parts of our ceremony was that we signed a covenant. Matt & I signed first and then both of our family's came up and signed. It was a really special part of our ceremony. AdeG & KK

AdeG & KK: Partners in Crime They love each other so much! They can make each other laugh just by breathing... When Adelyn gets her picture taken... ...Caiden thinks he needs to have his picture taken. This is how everyone walks their dog...right? AdeG & KK - I love you! Btw... "AdeG" is a silly nickname for Adelyn that came about from a question like this - "What would my name be if you spelled it a-d-e-g?" Whenever we do call her AdeG she laughs and says "my name's not AdeG!" "KK" is what Caiden says when you ask him to say his name. :)
