Skeleton Face

For the past month or so a skeleton similar to this one has been hanging out in our Home Goods. Every time we walk by it Adelyn asks "What dat is, mommy?"

One day at lunch Adelyn started making this really funny and kind of scary face. When I asked her what she was doing she said "I make skeleton face!" I don't think she knows it's supposed to be scary.

Mimi & Grandpa just had to get in on the skeleton face fun...
Some kids never grow up. ;)

She is one hilarious little girl!! Have to clarify one thing though---was she asking you what is that, mommy? or is that mommy? I hope not the second...LoL! I wish so much that we lived closer...I know her and Hallie would be great friends!

Kelly - thanks for clarifying - I was watching Thomas while blogging and forgot to proof! Thankfully she wanted to know what it was. Give her a few more years & then she'll think it's me!;) I wish we lived closer too! :( Adelyn & Hallie would have so much fun together. And their mommies too!

Mimi - I'll let you get a green skeleton for your house & we'll come visit it!

What is truly evident here is that Mommy and Adelyn must be spending alot of time at HomeGoods in order for Adelyn to have learned to mimic the skeleton! I wonder if I'll be able to take the boys there with me...probably not!

Two!

On August 2nd the Buddy Boy turned 2! He was and still is so incredibly proud of himself over this achievement.   Caiden is the most perfect combination of all boy and sweet and snuggly toddler that there ever could be! He loves trucks and balls, throws caution to the wind, and has a stubborn streak that isn't going anywhere. He adores his daddy more than I can explain, loves to get kisses from mommy and wants to do everything his big sister does. We never knew how much we needed this little boy until he arrived and we are so humbled and blessed because we were chosen to be his mommy and daddy.   How can we thank God enough for you in return for all the joy we have in the presence of our God because of you?   1 Thessalonians 3:9

10 years

Today Matt & I are celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary! Part of me can hardly believe that it's already been 10 years. I can still remember so many details of that time in our lives. The joy and excitement of the wedding and anticipation for the future. And another part of me knows that 10 years is not that long at all. We've only just begun!   We did not get any digital images from our wedding photographer (it was a different time back in 2003) but a friend took these and gave them to me.   One of my favorite parts of our ceremony was that we signed a covenant. Matt & I signed first and then both of our family's came up and signed. It was a really special part of our ceremony.         I am so thankful for these past 10 years with my best friend! When Matt & I met at a mutual friend's house 12 years ago I never could have imagined all that God had planned. But through it all - the victories and...

Thanksgiving 2012

I know, it's pathetic. I'm blogging about Thanksgiving 2012 at the end of February 2013. But there were too many fun memories to not give it a blog post.   We headed to Owensboro this year for Thanksgiving. It was Caiden's first airplane ride and visit to Kentucky. He did great on both the flights. Isn't it so sad that his mother made him ride in a hot pink stroller.    Adelyn and Caroline had a lot of fun playing together. They had the most fun teasing Uncle Chris by hiding in his bed and giggling until he came to find them.     Since these pictures were taken Caroline has become a big sister. Do you think she was worried that her baby brother would be as silly as Adelyn's?   Speaking of our baby brother, he was quite the early riser on this trip. On Thanksgiving morning he woke up at 4 am, took a scenic drive around Owensboro, wished everyone in the drive thru at Dunkin' Donuts a "Happy Thanksgiving" an...
