Hollywood, Here I Come!

The look says it all! She's destined for stardom. Ok maybe not, but her mommy & daddy sure think so. : )

I know it has been a month since the last time I posted any new pictures. I thought our life would slow down once Adelyn was born. Some how it seems busier than ever with 3 times the amount of laundry.

Anyways, we've been doing really well & enjoying Adelyn so much. She loves to play now. Looking in the mirror still remains one of her favorite activities but she also loves to check out her hands, get her toes, & talk to us about her day. When we went to the dr. for her 4 month check up the pediatrician told us we should play more roughly with her that she is very cautious. I thought that was funny. I think it is because Adelyn pretty much interviews you before she'll smile at you. We went to lunch with Aunt Ashley last week when she was in town for work. Adelyn wouldn't even think about smiling at her until we were saying goodbye. She's a funny one for sure.

We're looking forward to the month of March. Mimi & Grandpa will be visiting along with Uncle Ryan. And of course Adelyn can't wait to cheer for the Cats during the SEC Tournament. There are several more pictures below from the past month. It is hard to believe how fast a baby changes. By this time next week she'll probably be going off to college. (I'm starting to sound like my dad! Oh dear!)

The Terrific Two's

Adelyn officially hit the 2 1/2 mark a couple of months ago and oh my, this kid is a mess! She is just so full of life, personality, words, thoughts, opinions, energy, did I mention words? There are days when I'm pretty sure she's trying to reach her 5,000+ words used for the day quota before lunch time and it wears me out! She is also the sweetest, smartest, funniest, most charming 2 year old in the whole world. (In my humble opinion as her mother of course.) Don't get me wrong, she is by no means perfect. The past couple of weeks she's been in rare form but we think the two's are far more terrific than terrible. She is very much into the details and notices everything. She sees those decorative ball things that go on car antennas everywhere. One day she saw a red Mickey Mouse head and told me the reason it's red is because his overalls are red. It's been so neat to hear her start to use logic and reason or give explanations. Adelyn is quite the tease an...

Two!

On August 2nd the Buddy Boy turned 2! He was and still is so incredibly proud of himself over this achievement.   Caiden is the most perfect combination of all boy and sweet and snuggly toddler that there ever could be! He loves trucks and balls, throws caution to the wind, and has a stubborn streak that isn't going anywhere. He adores his daddy more than I can explain, loves to get kisses from mommy and wants to do everything his big sister does. We never knew how much we needed this little boy until he arrived and we are so humbled and blessed because we were chosen to be his mommy and daddy.   How can we thank God enough for you in return for all the joy we have in the presence of our God because of you?   1 Thessalonians 3:9

Eye to Eye

It shouldn't come as much of a surprise to know that Matt & I don't always agree on everything. For example, I think Matt should appreciate what a bargain shopper I am. Matt doesn't think I should shop. Clearly, someone's mistaken. But when it comes to parenting we really have been in agreement on every issue (yes, I know it's only been 6 months) but one...Diapers. Now before you think to yourself "I wonder if they're using cloth diapers?" let me just tell you that we completely agree that money should never be saved on 3 items. Toilet Paper. Paper Towels. And you guessed it, Diapers. So what's problem? It's the size of the diaper. If it was up to Matt, Adelyn would still be wearing the newborn size. (I think he's in denial about the fact that she's actually grown since being born). I however, the head diaper changer, fully understand the importance of a well fit diaper. In Matt's defense, he has never actually changed a blow-...
